I bought a 91/30 last november from Gander Mountain for about $100. Originally manufactured at the Izhevsk Arsenal in 1903, re barreled in the US in 1943. I shoot Wolf 174gr. FMJ or 203gr lead points. I bought a UTG scope-mount made special for mosins and mounted a 4X pistol scope.
I can bust a beer bottle at 100 yds, and me and my brother can hit a man size target center mass at 500 while resting the barrel on a tree branch.
