Colt gave me the name of an old timer that worked with Sauer many years ago. Anyway, after much more searching and recommendations, I found a shop in Hamilton MT. that makes Colt-Sauer replacement stocks, that look like the org. The stocks are not cheap, but my rifle is not cheap either. I mailed my rifle off yesterday for stock replacement. They make the stock to fit the individual rifle to perfection. Once I get it back I will follow up with a report.
Beautiful rifle! I have heard of Hamilton, MT but it was about the great custom rifle barrels... sounds like the place to go for custom rifle work
