Default My most prized rifle is back, and how!

I posted earlier this year about by prized Colt Sauer, weatherby 300 mag, having a crack in the stock. I sent it to "The Custom Shop" in Montana to have a new stock hand made. They also re-blued it for me, even the bolt handle. They polished the bolt. Process took about 90 days. You can see the magnaport in one photo. Here is the results...see photos.

That is beautiful!

You are going to be so incredibly pissed if/when you get that first scratch on it.

And finally, you should test it on a bear.

What a nice thing to do. It is beautiful.
I have my uncle's 300 Weatherby mag. It has scratches and worn bluing. Each mark is a hunting story.
Bears are to cute to shoot!
Get those nasty, mean, and big elk.

Very nice. Don't worry about the scratches. Take it out and enjoy it, and as 25-5 said, each blemish is a story. Now go and write your own book on it. You only live once, and that gun will outlast you.

My Daddy hunted elk with one of those, Colt Sauer 300 Wby. It resides in my safe, if I ever get to go elk hunting...

That is very nice. Lay it down at the range on a spent .22 case to put a ding in it. It won't be much of a story but I dare ya...
