VERY nice...when they first became available I was after one, only to be told by my LGS that it would be about a 6 month wait. So, I bought an LWRCI instead. ACOG on it too. You've re-stoked my fire for a 16S!!!

I have two AR15s A S&W M15T and LM&T Defender 2000 both shoot very good I tend to feel I get better results using my SCAR but I need to shoot them both together on the same day. But so far I really get good groups with the SCAR.
And can it be cleaned quicker then my ARs, like my AKs it's a snap.
Only thing that shows any signs of burnt powder is the small piston under it's head, and it's very easy to brush off with a bronze brush.

Your findings about how the SCARs perform are pretty much the same as mine, I think the SCAR 16s performs better than my Ruger SR556, SR556C and Colt LE6920 and Colt 6601 Match HBAR. the 16S felt recoil is light, its very subtle when compared against other ARs of the 5.5mm variety but noticeable. :


The 17S definitely has the softest recoil of my .308Win rifles.
