I guess you already know since it has side ejection,

you can mount a scope very easily. The pictures don't

do the Black Walnut stocks justice. My Marlin lever is also my

favorite rifle.

The side eject is one of the main reasons I went with the Marlin. I am going to run it for awhile with iron sights to get better with them. I have peep sights on my other rifles, including my 10/22. I just don't shoot worth a dang with the normal ones.

I added a new 336 recently because I sold my original 30-30 20 years ago. This one goes to the first born grandson when I'm cold.

Probably the most popular brush rifle. I love mine. I bought a leather butt pad/cheek rest for mine and I am about to order a skinner ghost ring sight for it. Enjoy!

Great buy! Now DO NOT put a scope on it. Iron sights can be replaced if you do not like the ones on it.

Matter of preference. I scoped mine and couldn't be happier.

I would of pick a Marlin 45/70 great rifle if you reload then you can control it for excample you could use 13gr. of unique a 350 or 405 lead bullet and a 10 year old girl could handlle it.Or load it up for bears.

I like the ghost ring on my Garand.

Maybe I'll try a ghost ring on my Marlin...
