Default Muzzle brake for a m44

I found a muzzle brake for a m44 mosin on Walmart.com. can someone explain the logic behind that... if any? The m44 is already loud enough as it is. It doesn't kick that bad either. I don't see any point behind it because you couldn't use the bayonet with the muzzle brake anyways.

The muzzle break is simply to improve comfort during firing.

I always viewed my M44 as a being complete

in every way. It's a latge part of the rifle's

charm.

I'd rather pull the buttplate, and drill out

a cavity in the stock, to hold a cleaning kit.

WM must feel there's a market, however.

I sure a brake would do wonders to improve the cosmetics of the rifle. A slip on butt pad I can see.
