Pretty cool...certainly takes alot, if not all of the skill out of shooting. I can see military and LE applications for it. I wouldn't want one...I'm fairly conventional and traditional when it comes to firearms and shooting.

Too bad you can't hold up a picture of all the idiot's in D.C. and fire it in that direction!

The video didn't load for me, but as soon as I saw "TrackingPoint" I knew exactly what it was about. Funny thing is how I just met Noe Trevino, TrackingPoint Head Machinist, not more than a week ago. He seemed like a nice enough guy, very excited about his company's product, and mentioned some SERIOUS financial backing from Remington (or Cerberus or Freedom Group or whatever the hell it is these days). He also mentioned the $25,000 price tag which almost seems reasonable when considering its capabilities. Now I don't even pretend to understand the technology involved, it simply astounds me. But I have been weighing the pros and cons of these sort of technological advancements in the field, and I'm sure we'll all be debating their value soon enough. Noe informed me that the TrackingPoint website goes online mid-January of 2013. I hope y'all check them out, I know I will, even if only to gain some recognition for a local business in my area.

Since they are local (for me) I will see about getting one to T&E on a long term basis.

I dont get it??? It just looks like it "tags" a target and tells you when the shot is optimal??

You tag the target and pull and hold the trigger, while doing that you move the rifle to align the dot and solution, as soon as you have them aligned " the rifle" sends the round. I get the elevation solution but I'm curious how it solves for windage on a 1200 yd shot.
FYI it is not just a "bolt on" scope, it is a rifle scope pkg and they start at $15,000

As I replied here. What happens when you tag a target, but a bigger more immediate threat arrises. How do you quickly transition to the new threat??

Hmmm, Waiting for the rifle to figure out anything is foolish.

Not sure if it's good for moving targets either.
