I have talked to a lot of guys and done a lot of research 45-70 lever actions have been known to take bigger game. I prefer a 45-70 with a decent scope. The rounds you can get for that are very interesting if you wanna spend the money you can elephant rounds for it or bear defense rounds.

Yea I know that would be a bummer. When I was talking to a lot of guys that hunt up there they told me that if I take a pistol that I better shave off the front sight post so it hurts less when the bear takes it away and shoves it up your ass

When was the last time we heard from Anna Purna? I seem to remember she was looking after a cabin up here for the winter (winter before last).
