Default Mossberg Chuckster .22 mag?

Anyone have any thoughts on a Mossberg Chuckster .22 mag? Talking to a guy online about buying his. He says it's a good shooter -- uses it for woodchucks. One of my concerns, though, is that the original stock has been sprayed with a rubberized coating. It looks well done, but I'd still prefer the original woo finish. Comes with a scope, not sure what type. He's asking $150.00.

Deal or no deal?

P.S. Added the pic from the online ad below. I have not seen the gun itself.

I don't know the gun, but I agree with you about wood furniture. Much nicer.

Every time someone coats a wood stock a blind refugee puppy dies.
...I guess I'm old but I can see no reason to ruin a wood stock like that. I'd be more inclined to replace it with a poly stock .if I just had to have something other than wood. But I like a wood stock best when it comes to long guns especially.
