Only need one!

1942, it has a 1950's... '60's mount and scope.

I have one and loved it. Only got 80 rounds thru it before too much metal wore off and the bolt will no longer stay cocked. However instead of fixing it I'll simply buy a new one for relatively the same cost

That stock looks great! Nice job refinishing it, unless you bought it that way. If not, what did you use for a finish?

I was rereading some of these posts and I believe you are calling me a Moron, sorry if I said anything to offend anyone so I'll go ahead and sign off.

Nothing done to it. If you notice the intire fore stock is very worn. An example of being wrapped.

I would think you just need a new cocking peice or trigger, it looks those are the only two parts that would wear and cause that problem..

You could probally fix it for about $10...

If I were to convert a Mosin to a scoped Mosin would that be a waste of time? I'm not really sure what the snipers are in terms of cost....I'm probably gunna keep my eyes open for an ex-sniper at the 'Cuse gun show coming up next week so I don't have to drill and tap anything..
