Default Mosin Nagant 91/30

My new Mosin Nagant came in today the FFL dealer called up. It's covered in cosmoline it's even on the wood so help on how to removed is appreciated. Also the ammo I have is corrosive so help on cleaning it after shooting corrosive ammo is also appreciated. I paid $150 for this Mosin Nagant. Came with 4 ammo pouches, bayonet, oil can, rifle sling.

Hot soapy water right after shooting is the best cleanup...

Looks like a couple I sent out to buyers . Wondering if you didn't buy it from me.

$150 is that there starting price now? I just got a call from a local LGS and he said nagant revolvers are drying up!

Nope not me, I got 5 and they were sold within minutes. I guess some places can't get them. I sold one to a guy in FL who said that locally they just aren't available.

For cosmoline look up videos on YouTube. The metal parts just strip down and soak in degreaser. The wood I used an iron and sprayed steam to make the cosmoline sweat out and wiped with a towel.

Hot water, simple green, and a toothbrush will take every ounce of cosmoline out. Worked wonders for me
