Y new Mosin Nagant 1931. In great shape and fun to shoot. Paid $119 for it. Polished the bolt to make it a little smoother action.

Congrats, I know you'll enjoy it. That bolt looks brand new!! Nice job!

I like Mosin Nagants. What year is it?
Both mine are Izhevsk, a 1943 91/30, and a 1948 M44.
I'd like to have a few more, different ones, but life keeps getting in the way.

That really does have to easily be the prettiest Mosin Nagant bolt I've ever seen...
Mine had a dusting of rust on the cocking piece when I got it. Doesn't look much better now, but it ain't reddish brown anymore... I took oil and a wire brush to it.

1931?? It should have a Hex receiver.

Hex receivers were standard from the beginning of M91 production and used for M91/30s until 1935 at Izhevsk and 1936 at Tula.

Oops! I didn't notice that, fat fingers and iPhone don't mix lol it's a 1941 Tula.

I just got my first Mosin Nagant, haven't even seen it (in person) yet as my Father in law bought it for me while I'm away at work. Awesome deal at the LGS: rifle and 440rds of ammo for $199. Its a 1942 Tula M91/30. I like your shiny bolt so I must ask: How did you do it, and with what?

Neat gun. I've shot mine several times. Effen LOUD and what a thump, but I like it. I'd love to rig a scope up to it without jacking it up

there ar some decent rail devices you can get that replace the rear sight and let you use a long eye relief scope.

I have a M44. Really love it. Approximately .30-06 power level.
