Good to know. So Which one would be best in terms of overall value, a Russian or a Finnish model?

Soviet, $120.00 w/ shipping and background BS( $20.00)

Antique Finn, $350.00 to your house.
The Finn will hold or increase in value. The $70.00 91/30 will always be looked at as just that.

The Finn M39 will out shoot the Soviet 91/30, M38, M91/59...... also.

Up until 1940 the fit and finish was better than afterwards, but some wartime manufacture rifles shoot great although they are rough on the outside. Hungarian 91/30's are some of the best, they are marked w/ a 02 on the receiver, but are hard to find and pricey. Hands down, Finnish M39's are the best for accuracy.
I agree with the writer. I have a half a dozen Mosin Nagant rifles and the Finnish one and one Russion carbine one are my most accurate so naturally my favorite ones.
