Ammo? Try this-
Romanian 7.62x54R 149grn Silver Tip 440rd Can

And there are other good deals out there (do not overlook price of shipping when ordering) but none of this will last forever.

I passed on a MN sniper with scope at the gun show this weekend, They wanted $500.00 , I didnt get a great look at it, So I dont know if it was an actual sniper or not.
Ammo seems to be coming down in price which is nice to see, Now if the reloading supplies would come down more...

I just picked up a 91/59 Izzy for $100 out the door last Sat. For ammo, I think I am ordering some of these.

Awesome so ammo is cheap and corrosive but easy to clean out with some water and soap. Great should be getting one of these very soon. Damn this is all too good to be true. Gotta love that Russian engineering. Works great and costs little.

FWIW, This is what I bought a year ago for $90.00+ tax, Background check

Its been a fun rifle, I think I had a little of the sticky bolt issue last time I had it out.
Good luck on your search

You should have been around 15 years ago when Vet bring back K98k's were $125.00 and ammo was $36.00 per 900.

Morning All
It is interesting reading the different ways folks clean their firearms after firing corrosive ammo. Some folks will not shoot corrosive ammo period. That is good leaves more for me. After firing corrosive ammo I have always used Hoppe's to clean with and have had no problem with rust, none. I'm not saying the way other folks clean their weapon after firing corrosive ammo is wrong or that my way is better. The way you clean your weapon works and that is all that matters.
The only weapons I do not shoot corrosive ammo in is my M-1 Garand and M-1 Carbine. I just don't want to have to strip them down to clean the gas system, From what I have read it isn't good to remove the barreled action from the stock often due to the way it locks up on the M-1 Garand, not 100% sure on that last statement it's just what I have read.
When it comes to the 1903 and 1903A3 they get all the corrosive they want. MC

heres my mosin "sniper". i mounted the scope myself. i paid $250 for the scope 5-6 yrs ago. its a real one dated 1942, never before mounted and still had the russian paperwork releasing it from the armory in 1950. took for ever to find a nice 1942 91/30, but only paid $80. easy way to tell if the scope is real, if stamped 91/30 its a repro, but even those i understand are $400-$500 now days!
