Heard a story about a guy in Iraq that set his m40/model 700 down on a train track and it got HIT BY A TRAIN!!???...Anyways the soldier picked the m40 up to continue his mission with the rifle working flawlessly and all it needed was a good cleaning to get the sand out of it ...Is this a true story?..Anybody else hear about it?..If so I'm a proud owner of a train proof gun.

common sense tells me this is fake. just me but have you seen a car hit by a train? i doubt a rifle would stand any better of a chance

most likely the soldier leaned it against a pole or rail right to next to track and the wind of a passing train knocked it over. actually hit and no damage i dont think so.

It's a true story. Seen the video about it on http://www.remington700.tv/ when they were fighting back against NBC stating the triggers didn't work and were going off by themselves and all that nonsense.
