Default Model 70 magnum explode??????

Hey y'all I'm getting a Winchester model 70 300 win mag. Made around early 80 to early 90s. And I heard from a friend they are know to explode ?!?!? I don't believe it but I want to know if you guys ever heard of it happening?

If you over charge the rounds beyound book values neglect the gun letting the bore rust up or store nails in the chamber of course it will explode.

Model 70's are pretty strong.

My preference is the classic control feed design over the pushfeed design.

Never been a huge fan of push feed bolt guns.

Yep! They are known as the "one night stand" rifle. They are sold with a one cartridge warranty. The receivers are made from pressed cardboard and the barrel from injection molded polypropylene. The weight comes from the heavy paint job.

Someone needs to have a talk with your friend.

Alright thanks guys like i said I didn't believe it but I thought I would ask if y'all ever heard of it. And nitestalker I think he is on new drug called jalousie. I found this gun for 450 dollar and it in great shape.
