Would you know what years or s/n series that the rifling changes occurred?

thx

I have 3 Mini-14's, one is up to date on whats available for newer models, but be that as it may, together with some high capacity clips all its really good for is suppression fire,75-100ft effective range. Its what I trained my wife on for her first rifle corse. Mini-14 is for girls,or rabbit hunting maybe.

So you're saying girls should only shoot mini-14s? Then what are YOU doing owning 3 of them?

I have one of the new SS Ranch Models, and after getting it sighted in, I am happy with it so far. It is a lot more fun to shoot than my AR IMO.

If you are interested in a scope, try the Nikon ProStaff 2-7X32. It works well with a Mini

Mini 14's might not be the most accurate 223 caliber gun,but they are fun as hell to shoot. I had a 180 series-1976,and have shot thousands of rounds out of it over the years. I put a cheap Simmons scope on it after a couple Bushnell/Nikon/Leupold's crapped out from the beating the action gave them, and the Simmons was the only one that lasted . I traded it last year for double of what I originally had in it.
They aren't target rifle's by any means, but they shoot minute of coyote all day & night long. That is what I mainly used mine for.
