Mauser CZ 7.92x57 bolt disassembly?
I can't believe this! I've taken down a Mauser bolt dozens of times. But this time I bought a sportarized Mauser CZ in 7.92x57 and can't get the end of the bolt to turn the 2-3 turns to get at the firing pin assembly. All I have in my hands is a safety tab and the end of the bolt that has the oblong hole for the back end of the firing pin assembly? What the hell am I doing wrong. I started by depressing the small button and started to turn but got nowhere? Can someone help me?

Maybe I misunderstood, but are you saying the safety and shroud screwed off, but the firing pin assembly didn't come out with it?

Pics would help

No, the only thing to come off was the wing type safety and the end that has an oblong shaft hole in the center, the shroud will not turn no matter what I do.

Pics would help. The shroud does not technically "unscrew" on a Mauser bolt.

Never got past the turning of the shroud. I have seen that post several times reminding myself what I may have missed so I've got it down pat but like I said the pushing of the little pin does nothing to allow the shroud to move. The only thing was that the wing type safety came off in my hand.

Is the firing pin tip protruding through the hole in the breach face?
If so, the bolt is de-cocked and you need to pull back on the sear ledge of the cocking sleeve with a piece of wood or screwdriver to get it to clear the recess in the bolt. This will allow it to turn out counterclockwise.

Edit adding link I found on YouTube. This may help better than I could describe. Not my video, but i wish I would have found this video the first time I had this problem :p

This is the way I did it on the edge of a block of wood
