bolt not going back in
Try pressing in on the bolt release mechanismwhile sliding in, and check if the safrty lever is in the proper ploace, I am not near mine right now but I am going off of my memory, I havent even shot mine yet, but I have field stripped it when I first got it , I had the same problem, but then I remembered the bolt release mechanism on the left side of the receiver, pressed it in and it slid on home, good luck buddy.

Along with pulling out on the bolt release lever on the left rear of the receiver, you may also have to pull back on the trigger to get it to go in.
|
If holding open on the bolt release doesnt work, and your extractor is inline, then you must have gotten the firing pin out of line. A very easy fix but hard to describe.

This thread is almost 2.5 years old!! He may have figured it out by now. This was his 1 and only post.

:D:D:D I noticed that. I hope he got it!!!

Probably had the extractor on the wrong side of the bolt . I've seen dozens of "sportsman" send their rifles to Browning for the same problem and all that was wrong is the extractor was on the wrong side of the bolt.
NO !!!------This is NO--BS !! I was there and I serviced the rifle's. Regards, Vearl Brown |
