Default Marlin X7

I've been looking at the Marlin X7 in .308 Winchester. I don't really know anything in particular rifle. I was interested in because of the affordable price tag. Can anyone give any information on it or any experiences they've had with it?

very much so! i own three of them in different calibers. an XS7 in 7mm-08, an XL7C in 25-07 and an XS7VH in 308.

these rifles are one of the best values for a budget priced rifle. the only thing really budget about them is the price. lots good features for not much money. very accurate, excellent recoil pads, pillar bedded stocks, adjustable triggers, and not too heavy, nor too light.

Just what I wanted to hear! I thought it felt and looked like a quality rifle. I was surprised at the lack of reviews I could find on it. I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on it, $359 is just to good to pass up!
Thanks for your response and input!

Buds has Howa rifles with a Nikon scope for $500. Howa makes good rifles and the nikon scope is acceptable. You will have just as much in the X7 by the time put a decent scope on it. Howa makes some models of Weatherby rifles.

The rifle I was looking came equipped with a scope that is good for the area I hunt in. Where the longest range shots taken here are under 100 yards.

I've got a XL7 in .270 that I picked up for $300. I love it! Very accurate, and just feels nice too.

personally, i have no idea and it probably won't be the best of quality.

i bought all my X7's, sans scopes. i find that the price difference not to be that big a deal and would rather buy my own scope of my choosing. i have only bought one combo rifle and that was a Savage M93r17. the only reason i bought it was simply because at the time it was the only one available that had the 17 HMR in a heavy barrel version. i soon replaced that scope anyways.

I didn't think it would be. I'll probably by a Bushnell 3-9x40 for it.
Thanks for the response.
