Default Marlin Camp Carbines in 9mm and .45ACP

Anyone out there have these? I had the .45ACP version and sorry I ever got rid if it! Anyone see them around for sale? Marlin discontinued production about 15 years ago and I wish they would resume production! I would buy one in a heartbeat at a reasonable price!

When they were new, the NRA tested several of them. They were found to b e really "fun" little guns, but the NRA testers didn't consider them reliable enough for law enforcement.

Just something to keep in mind before spending a lot of money on one.

My dad bought one in .45ACP. I have it now, he's been gone over 15 years now.

I have had one malfunction out of many, many thousands of round fired.
A sliver of 'nickel' jammed the firing pin so the hammer couldn't cause it to move, froze up! The only place that sliver of nickel could have came from was from a plated casing. After I broke the weapon down and prodded the firing pin, the sliver fell out. That was a bunch of rounds ago.

I have replaced the buffer and springs. Runs like a champ.

For Police use, I could have used it but carried an AR-180 in the car before I got it and never changed. Good round but a little short ranged for my desires.

No, it is not for sale.

I've just discovered the camp carbines and would be really interested in getting one some day. I don't think I've ever seen one personally.

They no longer are made and finding a used Marlin Camp Carbine is tough! Wish I never got rid of mine!

Saw one about 4 years ago at a show. $195, but it had a BIG gouge on the stock. Still a good buy.

I saw one online awhile back, .45, with a factory integral suppressor. It was like $2100 or something. I didn't know savage ever did anything like that.
