Default marlin 336a

I went shooting today with my brother in law I took my new model 94 30-30 he took his marlin 336a. the plate that lifts the shell up to the bolt sticks and sometimes has tard moments any ideas?

First question has his Marlin has been cleaned thoroughly and lubricated? He could have some crud, debris, or even a primer in the action. My next question is he shooting reloads?

no there not reloads and yep we cleaned the hell out of it before we went to the range. Thanks for the link I hope it fixs his problem.
