Default marlin 336

just picked up a marlin 336 love it already i got the walnut one with the blued steel bought it at cabellas for 400

Not without a picture you didn't.

I had one in .35 Marlin. Nice arm. Not a hunter, and not as interested in "modern" levers, I sold it to a buddy who really wanted it. Think he sold it too and I, in turn, sold him a custom shortened Ruger All-Weather .223 I had that he coveted.

The Marlin 336 is an excellent lever action rifle. I got one for 275.00. I got it in the shop getting a tru glo front sight installed. The original won't work if I shoot at a dark black area. This rifle is one of the first 336 manufactured about 1974. It shots great.
