The 336 is (IMHO) the best lever action High Powered rifle going. Yours looks very nice. Took my second deer with my Dad's 336 in 30-30.

My Marlin 336W in cal. 30-30 win. is one of my favorite rifles.
Very accurate with the stock barrel sights, but I'm planning on getting a scope for further targets.

Good goin', that's a nice looking rifle! I have one chambered in 450 Marlin, very accurate gun.
BTW, I'm also retired USAF and married 26 years.

That is a really nice one. I have the 336 in 30-30 and it works well for deer in heavy woods around here.
