Default Marlin 308

Was thinking about getting a marlin in 308 anyone have anything good or bad about this gun?

IMHO Marlin has never produced a bad bolt action rifle

You must be referring to the 308 Marlin Express.

Never shot or handled one, but Marlin makes a helluva lever gun.

I think now I will just go with a weatherby vanguard 2 in 308 or 30/06 I hear they are nice for the money around 500.

Buy most any bolt rifle in .308 before a wanabe 308 lever rifle. The levers just are not accurate enough at the longer ranges compaired to a bolt rifle.
