Default Made a trade for a 30-30

I had an EAA Bounty Hunter gathering dust in my safe. It was a 6 1/2 in barreled 45 colt. It was in good condition. But I only paid $100 bucks for it with a nice holster and gun belt. I kept the belt and holster as I have other guns to use it with. I met another collector and noticed he had a really nice Western Field model 72 30-30. I traded him strait across for the pistol. I feel pretty good because the belt and holster is easily worth $50. The 30-30 shoots real nice. What do you guys think? Good trade? The western field is actually a Mossberg 472.

Sounds like a heck of a deal to me.

I think you did great. Everything I know mossberg made a pretty nice 30-30 when they were doing it. You can do a heck of a lot more with that 30-30 than you ever could with that .45.

I had been looking for a 30-30 for a while. I did some 100 yard shooting with it. I shot about a 4 inch group from 100 yards with iron sights. I was leaning on a table but did not have sand bags. Seems pretty good to me.

Everyone should have a 30 30. They are just a good round. Sounds liek you come out on the good end of that deal.
