I am looking for an m40 a3 bolt action sniper rifle that shoots the 6.5 lapua.

Don't think there is such a thing, not one that is actual military issue anyway.

I believe your looking at a custom build, as far as I know, all real m40 sniper weapons are/were chambered in 7.62/.308.

They do shows on the military channel quite a bit for stuff that is not actually in use in the military.

But, I was discharged almost six years ago, things may have changed. Good luck.

I'm guessing the M40a3 is the same thing as the M24a3 and one is the Army designation and the other is the Marine designation? You can find the M24a3 on one of Remington's websites (and maybe the M40a3?), and it is chambered in .338 Lapua. If you find one please post the price. I'm guessing around $6,000 but that is just a guess?

They are supposably goibg to chamber them for the military but i setiously doubt the will since 6.5 lapua is very expensive to make a rifle to make

God didnt make all men equal colonel Sam Colt did
