Default M1 Garand

I'm really thinking about getting one... Anyone else have one?

I've had one for a few years, I highly recommend getting one, but they aren't cheap anymore, I gave $600 for mine iirc. I would expect about $800 for the same rifle now.

Disagree, get 2. Piece of history and a blast to shoot.

May be best to purchase through CMP to avoid the issues Hank mentions. You get an inspected Garand right out of the box so to speak. Just depends on price point for matching numbers, etc.

I like mine, it's just a Winchester mutt assembled during

1943, in the height of the action. But it's one of my favorite

rifles. I guess there's something about a 30.06 semi with

good iron sights. Boo-yah!
