I actually got her to take a shooting class from a great shooting school/range a couple weeks ago and she wants to do the rifle and shotgun courses next spring. I'm proud of her.

I ordered mine without a flash hider at first, after seeing Jerry Miculek shoot one on Impossible Shots, then got to thinking about a suppressor and changed my order to "with" a flash hider and I love the gun. Haven't received the suppressor yet, but, as with my other suppressors, I know it will be a blast (pun intended)!

Well on my way home from work at 530 am I stopped in the Runnings store and picked up this rifle.
Added plus it does have the muzzle break, Walmart one did not.

I paid 599 for the gun and extra mag. Also for Black Friday they were doing a 10 bucks back for every 50 purchased. So I walked out with a 110.00 gift card.

The more I look at it the more I get jealous of my wife. I can't wait till we can go shoot this baby!

Thanks for all your input. It helped me with the purchase!

Hope I can get it to the painter in time for it to be done by Xmas. Purple tiger stripes are on the menu for it.

More photos to come when I get them.

I just picked one up from Impact Arms in Utah. I got one with the flash hider (normally $520) for $430 - $20 cheaper than the one at Walmart without the flash hider. A couple spare magazines (+ the ubiquitous taxes) pushed my final total to $508.

I'm pretty happy with that.

So Is the m&p 15. The same as the 15-22? Does anyone have both?
The more I handles my wife's the more I want an AR. (I have been desiring a AK first) Does anyone recommend the .223 model?

I do, without reservations. My M&P15 was a flattop sporter version for some $600 before the Panic. It performed very well.
