I am really considering buying one of the rifles and I have been looking around to get a chance to hold one an get an actual feel for the rifle. Problem is, I haven't found and actual in stock model. Does anyone own one or can tell me more about it if there are any likes/dislikes about it reasons to buy/not to buy thanks

I have the new SPR and a REPR. They are both wonderful rifles. That rail is so sweet and feels so good in the hand. The SPR is so balanced it really is awesome to hold it.

Are they real heavy? How does it shoot?

The REPR is a bit heavy but in 7.62 NATO that is to be expected. My 18" barrel comes in at about 9lbs. The SPR is not heavy at all not sure on the weight but its under 8lbs.

I have been looking for 556 with a 16" barrel I would like it to be the OD green model but so far on the Internet they've been pretty hard to come by

Does the rifle actually keep itself cleaner? With the gas piston I mean I am sure it still gets dirty though

The bolt carrier and bolt stays WAY cleaner and cooler. The gas block up front gets dirty and hot. you will need gloves if you are shooting a lot.
i heard a quote someplace that says it well, Piston guns don't crap where they eat!

Call LWRC they will either sell you one or point you to a dealer with one for sale. The customer service there is AWESOME! There are also a Couple of good dealers on the forum.
