Default looking for a cheap .223 semi auto rifle. Any suggestions?

Hello! I have recently been in the market to buy a new rifle and I have had my eyes on eather the .308 or the .223 caliber and i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a rifle. I have around 650$ and i really like the body of the FAL, the AR-10 and the Scar-H thanks and have a nice day.

Well, if you are just plinking I would recommend something in .223/5.56 due to the cost of .308. I can't find .308 for less than .90ish cent's per round where I live, and most of it stocked where I live is the much more expensive hunting ammo.

If you're looking to save money, don't go near building an AR15. Not that they're expensive, but you'll end up wanting to build more AR15s. Lol.

Get a S&W M&P 15 sport. A 20rd box of Tula will run $5 at Walmart.
