No that was at a discount. My mentor let me use his discount for it. He builds only remington and mauser based rifles....mauser mainly. He will build other stuff but those are his preferences. Since he has been doing business with them for about 15 years he has a very good rep w them.

Like $3000 before tax. They dont charge him tax just a base fee that varies and shipping. That was beginning of 2011 though. They have went up quite abit since then. What do you think of the results?

$7569.00 to date im getting another barrel blank for it and Im gonna finish makin it a interchangable barreled rifle. And for a true mauser m98 mag action $3000 is still a good deal. The 21 1/2" barrel i button rifled and the krieger 24" im gonna lance groove rifle with 1:14 twist. Both are/will be medium sporter #3 contours. I decided to avoid the muzzle brake on my short barrel and put it on my longer long range barrel.

Yeah, the skill of shooting long distance tends to have a shelf life. At least thats my experience. Take a few months off due to lets say work and I suck but after a few times back at it I don't do too bad. Practice, practice, practice. That includes alot of dry fire. The price of one of these sticks seems expensive but its cost is just the beginning.

this is true. way too many people think it's just buying an accurate rifle or having one built and suddenly they are this much better shooter. my viewpoint is this, an average rifle in the hands of a talented shooter is deadly, an expensive highly accurate rifle in the hands of someone who doesn't know how to shoot properly, isn't anything to worry about. another thing about a lot of the precision and benchrest shooters is they are fanatics on the details. in their rifles and reloading.
