Default Lever action options, or lack there of??

For years I have been wanting a lever action to match my 357 revolver. Now I have come to find that it seems Marlin is not producing the 1894 and hasn't for some time. Still listed on the website but just not in production. So with that being said I cant seem to find any options for a similar fire arm to the 1894 other then the Rossi 92 and that seems to have very mixed reviews..

Help to the forum masses I come a look'n

Scope mounting required or not wanted??

No scope uberti 1873. If you go berti you will need a set of hardened screws as the stock ones are terribly soft and strip easily.

Not looking to add a scope, I like the idea of the rugged compact lever action riffle with no thrills just quality dependability and good looks.

Why not go with a new original - The Winchester 1892

Uberti or Henry.
Both are excellent.

Hit the gun shows for a used one. I missed one in 357 last year. I have seen a few 44 mags too.

Man that Winchester is nice looking, but ouch a good chunk more then that illusive Marlin 357. Right along line with the Uberti

To get a good one you got t spend the $$

You can chance a rossi if you get one that runs all good. Otherwise you will easily spend more than the difference in cost of a winchester or uberti getting it to work.
