Lesson learned

Took the Howa out Monday to get in some shooting, and some relaxation. Set up targets and everything else. It was a little chilled sense the temp was around 41 deg. that morning.

I had kind of a crappy day with the Howa; the rounds were nowhere close to a tight group. So I put it away and played with my Bersa and the Walther p22. After I got home I took the Howa out to clean it and things on the rifle started wiggling where they should not of. After a close inspection I found that the screws that hold the assembly to the stock were almost completely out, a turn or two more and the stock would of fell off.

Lesson learned; never take it for granted that everything is hunky dory; check before and after each shoot.

I learned the hard way when a scope worked itself loose somehow during a deer hunt away from home. I missed a doe 3 times and couldn't figure it out until the scope fell off in my hand. I still wonder if it had help coming loose as I had checked it before the hunt when I checked the zero.

Sounds good to me. When do you want to do it and where at? Your place or mine? We're only about 50 miles apart. PM me so we can exchange info when you want to start planning it.

Now you want to plan, We were just there. Could have met RSG and me. Definitely get together with Bear, good times.
