Default Kel Tec SU 16 vs AR15?

Do you think that the Kel Tec is as good as a comparably priced AR.
Why and why not?

Thanks

Reliability is not there, comparatively speaking. I was looking at these as well and buddy who runs LGS talked me out of it vs. an AR for the money. I like the features of the Kel Tec very much, but, ended up not buying anything (I didn't "need" it).

I've considered buying a SU-16C as a back-up for my AR-15. Piles and piles of .223 ammo could be useless brass, lead, and copper if my AR-15 goes down in SHTF. Plus...it uses AR-15 mags. Hard to beat that!

EXCEPT!!!!!!!!!!

I would never buy one instead of an AR-15, though. The AR-15 is the gold standard and there is no comparison.

In a not too distant future a folded SU-16c sure would fit in some places you couldn't begin to put an AR-15...Never mind that they shoot much better than some people say they do....plus they're light enough for the kids to carry.
