Default just thinking....need yalls input

After some thought im thinking about getting me a m1 carbine .30 cal auto ord .has a new folding syn tactical model .I know that some will say its underpowered and not very accurate ....but with the new ammo it could see a resurgence in popularity . Test have shown that the new cor bons shot 1/2 groups at 50 yrds ...with the same knock down as a .41 mag at 100 yrds.. sounds like a great little truck gun ....what are yalls thoughts?

I've only shot a m1 carbine once unloaded a full mag, it was fun to shoot little recoil. I was honestly thinking about buying one for home defense but ended up getting a Circuit Judge instead. I think there a good gun to have, fun and when shtf it makes a good close combat carbine.

I don't know what the Auto ordinance carbines cost, but you can find a real M1 Carbine for around $600. I've had two Inland's. I cleaned them up, put in new springs and they were unstoppable.

Anyway, just food for thought.

Default carbine

msrp is 800+ ive found em for 650+ . a true ww2 or korean era would be nice ,but only used as a home defense weapon .Out of respect for the Armed services ,I couldnt relegate it to a truck gun ,or an everday shooter .

If your mission is a cheap truck gun, a Mosin M39 or M44 would only

put you back @150, maybe 200$, and the 7.62x54 cal has ballistics just shy of a 30.06.

Ammo doesn't get much cheaper...

They're great little guns. My old man has an Inland and it's a TON of fun to shoot. The problem is the cost of ammo. Factory ammo is expensive so unless you reload, it's probably not the best option. And if you do reload, finding the brass can sometimes be difficult.
