Just got my Henry Big Boy .45 Long Colt!

After using and admiring the wife's .22 Henry, I just couldn't resist! Now if I can only find a bucket o' cowboy ammo....

Is it a 45. If so I suggest reloading. 45 is easy to reload.

I really want one, I have a Ruger Vaquero in .45 Colt but I'm thinking about going with a .357.

Nice rifle.

I have an EMF Hartford Model 1892 in .44-40. It was made by Rossi, but refined by EMF. Slick rifle. Very accurate out to 100 yards and slightly beyond. When I say accurate, we are talking soda can, Baseball, offhand. Love the 24" octogonal barrel, sights, and smooth action. Congrats, your gonna have some fun now.

Finally made it to the range to try it out! (Indoor range, only 25 yds max)
Pleasure to fire, that heavy octagon barrel eats up so much of the recoil that it's almost like using the 1022.
Can't wait to get down to the outdoor range to see how it behaves at 100 or so yds.

Sounds like great fun!

I got a Henry catalog a little while back and that thing is just about worn out from me reading every page numerous times. I know if I visit my local dealer I will be pulling out my checkbook!

The urge to buy a Henry is just about like a drug now! Congratulations on yours!
