so i bought an ak on base and they dont let me touch the thing until i get it out to my car and they tell me to go straight home so i do and i get home and take it out of the box and the trigger lock is still on. its the key lock you see on them in the glass display cases. anyone have any bright ideas on how to get it off i dont want to make the 30 minute drive back to base unless i have to.

They didn't supply a key?
Every firearm i've bought at a FFL in the last few years has come with a lock of some kind. I have not bought one that came with the lock installed. Perhaps they had it already installed since the purchase occurred on a base.

I would call them to clarify, if possible. If not, i'd make the drive to avoid potential damage to a brand new toy.

oh no it came with a lock and this was supposed to be removed after i purchased it. i just wasnt able to inspect it after i actually bought it. just before and of course they took it off when i was handling the weapon.

i could only hope
