Jap 6.5

I have a JAP 6.5 that I inherited from a friend. It was brought home after WWII and I believe is typical of that era - i.e. the quality of it's manufacture is a mite rough. I've shot it and it shoots well. Any idea what the value is?

I searched for it and could not find anything...

Too many variables to give you a pat answer. For collectable guns, values are based on exact make, model, condition and originality. For the Arisakas, one of the big points is the "mum" stamped above the chamber- intact, or ground off? Without pictures, we can't tell you much- sorry.

This 6.5 was not a captured rifle. It is in very nice condition. As surrendered and not captured in battle it has had the crest removed. It is however accompanied by a rare 8MM "Papa" Nambu Pistol. The DWM 1914 Luger is pictured for comparison. These have been in my WWII collection for many years.
A nice 6.5 with or without a crest can be bought for less than $300 bucks.:)
