inherited some guns, wondering about their value
6 Attachment(s)
I inherited three guns: A Marlin model 1894s 44-40 rifle (reproduction), which was made in the 90s, and there were like 900 of them made. I have a Cimeron pistol that shoots the same 44-40 round, and a Winchester model 1892 32-20, which I assume is also a reproduction, but it doesn't say anything about it on the gun.
I'm thinking that the 44-40 rifle is about $800, the pistol at maybe $600, and the Winchester is $1000-$1500...I guess. Does anyone have a better idea than I do? |
Well- The Marlin used is about $500 around here-
The pistol about $300-$400 The Winchester (no such thing as a reproduction IF its a Winchester 1892 ) in good condition shuld bring about what you thought- depends greatly on location- |

Thank you, guys. I am taking the Winchester to valued. Everyone says it must be original, but one guy tells me it's been reblued and is worth about $500...maybe self-serving on his part, I don't know.
|
From what I can see, it does not appear to be reblued, methinks he is trying to screw you.
|
it could be re-blued but no way to tell for sure from the pics. I am very suspicious of the short mag tube.
