I own an ATR100 model in 30-06 with synthetic stock, that's around 7yrs old. It's a very good rifle. It'll put 4 rounds in bullseye @ 100yds with my Nikon Buckmaster 3-9x40 scope, if I take my time and do my part. Has brought down a few deer since I bought it. I understand that ER Shaw makes the barrels for Mossberg. The newer 4x4's have the adjustable trigger on them---wish I had one on mine. Mossberg's are good rifles that can hold their own against more costly rifles.

Sounds great, you even helped me answer my second question witch was how do you think the Nikon scopes are. This will be my first hunting rifle and I'm going to go with the walnut finish. Thanks for your info.
