Could not pass it up.... 300 bucks out the door, yessir.

Yeah unfortunately I got it the day I got back from the desert. So I am going to try for a local outdoor range today or within the next couple days.

Congrats on your new Axis. If you are unhappy with its trigger pull...too heavy to suit you. You can replace its trigger spring or shorten the factory spring and maybe do some very fine honing/polishing on the trigger sear. This should reduce your trigger pull down to around 2 lbs, if done properly.

Yeah trigger work is definitely on my list of things to do. I remember from my last savage. And trying to get a hold of a 10 round magazine.
