Lol sometimes I'm a major airhead. Take everything I said about the remington 1100 and apply it to the winchester auto loader. The rem is a good gun but the winchester is a better design, I got the 2 confused. The winchester has the rotating bolt. If there is a cabellas by you go look at both you'll see what I mean ;-0

The old Rem 1100 was a solid gun, not going to say it is better then the Winchester but I know a few people who swear by theirs, I personally won't touch anything new with the Remington name on it, I have even quit using Remington primers and Core-lokts which have been a staple in my reloading since I started.

I know this is off topic, but I want to thank everyone for there input. You guys have no idea how helpful you all have been. Before I subscribed to this forum all I relied on was google and word of mouth from 2 or 3 people. You all have helped me 10 fold and I really appreciate that. I feel like this is the best app I've downloaded EVER. Anyway, thanks a bunch.

If it were me I would get a 30-06 and a 12 guage shot gun. 30-06 can be any manufacture you like and the twelve gauge can be a single barrel. This way you can't go wrong hunting anything

I may not choose a .30-06, but he is not wrong. I still have my dads Cooey Winchester Western 3pc travel 12ga. It will kick the snot out of you, but it is a great shotgun that works from Small game to uninvited guests.
