I have a neighbor that's a retired army doctor. His only weapon is a high grade Ruger No.1 single shot in .270 for hunting.

One evening, talking over the fence, I asked him what he'd do if "a situation came up."

He grinned, and said, "hell, I know you've got a Garand, and several bandoliers with my name on them." Oh well!

To Winds-Of-Change

I agree.....I have not bought a thousand in anything other than .22lr for awhile due to financial situation, but I could have about 5K of each and probably feel like getting ....just a little more :-)

More than I'll ever need, but not as much as I can load in many years to come with the supplies I keep in stock.

You all know what "they" say; "You never have enough ammo ... unless your house is on fire!"

I have between the 45acp, 380 and 12 gauge shotgun probably a little over 350rds. for each caliber. I have a common practice that when I shoot ten rounds at the range I replace those ten with fifty.
