Ahh, the 770. I knew it was something around that. I agree that there are better rifles out there for about the same price. What was the recall on the 710 about?

It was due to the bolt problems they was having.

how come you never hear about ruger rifles all that much? the mod 77 was a great rifle ....if i was to get a bolt gun...im a lefty id get the savage 10flcp-k .308 it leans towards tactical ..but would be a gun on stand, its got all the bells and whistles for 800.00 or less

Another thing that can impact accuracy as the barrel heats up is that the heat waves "mirage" coming off the barrel will make the scope retical and target dance all over the place. This will definately impact accuracy.
