Hi-Point .45 Carbine
I was wondering if any one has one of these. I bought one because I took my girlfriend out shooting with some friends, and some one let her shoot it and she liked it. It's light and almost no recoil. My issue is that the sights suck, have not been able to BZO the damn thing. It always shoots low at even 25 yards. I know 45 acp will drop off at a distance but 25 yards!? I ripped of the sorry sights and threw a red dot on there for her. I was wondering of any one has found a way to put decent irons on these? Trying to teach her how to shoot with irons. Shes good with my AR irons.

Yes but no one with a Hipoint carbine I guess. Do you have the newer stock or the older stock? I have seen some with after market stocks that look like the Berreta. I have not heard anyone complain about the sights but most slap red dots on them.

Hi Point Carbines are a **** ton of fun as range rifles. If your GF enjoys it then buy one...they don't cost much and are loads of fun. Just know that you are not buying a precision rifle or something you want to bet your life on but for ****z and giggles at the range they can't be beat.

I have a 9mm that is box stock and I have no problems hitting 25 foot air gun targets at 25 yards. Yes, I would bet my life on the Hi Point 995B. It is more than combat accurate and totally dependable.

I agree with John_Deer. I could terminate living things with mine and have ultimate faith it would work. It may be 'cheap' but it's built like a tank inside. It's got a lifetime warranty, no matter the owner.
