its not wood. its the ATI Stock. but like i said, the wall where the bolt meets the stock is already thin, nothing there to really shave.

Can you post a picture? I can't really tell what your talking about, I can't imagine not being able to shave the stock.

Yeah, don't shave the metal, shave some of that stock. How thin it is doesn't really matter. Open the bolt, shave a little, try to close it. repeat until desired effect is achieved.

Agreed! modify the stock, not the bolt.

You can shave all the way through if you have to. It will just have a slightly "notched" appearance. That, in my opinion will be better than taking metal off the bolt handle.
