Gun Safe recommendation
Hi All,
I am in the process of looking for a new gun safe. My needs are one that will hold around 20 long rifles, some with scopes and around 15 handguns. I am will to spend up to $2000, but you know, the less the better.
I know that scoped rifles seem to take up more space, so I was thinking about using gun rods to fit more and probably a door organizer for all the handguns would work good. I don't need 10 hours of fire protections, 30-60 minutes should be fine. Just want a good built one that would make most burglars decide it would take to long to get it open and just leave.
Please give me some suggestions you might have.
Thanks,

Hey there,
My first recommendation is trying to find a used Browning Gold series. Used gun safes aren't too numerous so you would have your work cut out for you. Sentry makes a 30 minute, 40 (I think?) gun safe that retails for under 2 grand. I have two safes, my large is a Sentry GM36 that holds the bulk of my firearms (I paid $1500 at a gun show for it) and a Browning Safeguard Mini in which I keep my "ready access" guns.

Might take a look at these. His own branded safes look like a good value.

I did allot of research on this subject. As a matter of fact, I have a Liberty Fatboy safe being delivered this Wednesday. I have a BBB complaint in against Patriot Safes. Won't go into it. One of the rules are; buy a larger safe than you think you will need. If you pick it up and install it yourself, you can negotiate one down to $2,000.00 new. Also, Craigs List is a good place to find a used one. The Fatboy comes with the nice door panel and motion detector lights. The delivery and placement where you want it is pretty expensive, but for my tired old worn out body worth it. Other good safes are Ft. Knox and Browning. Good luck.
