I have read where the Century International purchases were not up to standard. It was not just a sole missive but quite a few buyers posted their displeasures with them. Just take a second look at them if what they offer is tempting to your budget. Look to the core and scrutinize.

Bear in mind also that Century sells more arms than many other manufacturers

combined, so there are bound to be complaints, merely given their

sales volume. I would be more alarmed about bad CS.

As the saying goes, "EVERYBODY has problems. It's what you

do when problems arise that counts"

I will just post what I did for my first firearms...

A .308 Weatherby Vanguard around $400 topped with a used Weaver Grand slam 4-10x40 for $175 and a Browning Buckmark .22LR for around $300. Around your total price range (excluding accs. like ammo, cleaning kits, extra mags, bags, etc.) and I cannot be happier.

Be warned, they tend to multiply once you start buying.
