Default Got my first levergun

This year for thanksgiving I went to bear hunt with my relatives, on the first day the guy in the stand next to me shot at a bear 3 times with a .35 Remington and hit it once high in the shoulder. A few minute s later the bear wandered of to my stand and I shot it in the head with a 12 gauge slug at 9 yards .After we had brought the bear back to the trapping shed the man with the .35 sold it to my uncle for $100, he then handed it to me. It is an old Marlin 336 in .35 Remington, I cant wait to take it out for deer.

Nice! Congrats. I went to a gun show this weekend, and was fondling a few lightly used 35 Rem Marlins. Pretty guns. I settled on a new 336 30-30 for my first lever gun just due to ammo availability. But my 30-03 will need a sister some day.

Congrats on the .35 Marlin. I have one and will never let it go. I use it a lot.
Try some of the new Hornady HV .35 in it.
